Freezing Fresh Carrot Juice

"The Blues Brothers", dir. John Landis.

Sweet home, Chicago ... There are some movies that have know. The only problem is that many people, so a letter titled "must see". Old movies, new movies, foreign and Polish, dramas, comedies, documentaries, movies, numerous awards, niche films, and finally the cult, of which an incredible impact on the whole crowds (mostly) young people can decide nothing.

Unfortunately, there is one title that absolutely everybody kojarzyłby up with what is best in cinema, but yes, there are several such, which the honorable term "best ever" is divided into a fine line. And what? For sure, "Blues Brothers" is not one of those films. Drawbacks exist, one a lot. It's just that these flaws in no way detract from his iconic character.

What is needed to create a work of "cult"? Common sense is not so much: a good dialogue, characters of eggs, loose approach to reality and is the foundation stone face (at the end of these "eggs" undertake). Nicotine helps and good music in the background. Unless we're talking about "The Matrix", but not entirely the work of the flagship określiłabym Wachowski brothers cult film. Here you could narrow definitions of private, but then did not want to write about the intricacies of the term "cult", but an undeniably fantastic "Blues Brothers."

Jake and Elwood
on a mission from God - it's not fake, glare at the church was all as it should be: a noble goal ($ 5,000 for an orphanage) tight deadline (a few days) and the idea of \u200b\u200bone of its kind (containing the band back together and restore a decent world music).

Two guys in black suits, hats and sunglasses ray-Banach, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi in all its glory. Gentlemen and their distinctive look that's classic. Soul, blues, even country (& western:) flies in the background. There is Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, John Lee Hooker, James Brown ...

Dialogues of this film already passed into legend, like some of the scenes. Although I started thinking that it is currently "Blues Brothers" is not a film known to all, half of my friends probably would not associate it in its entirety, not to mention the next generation. A lot of losing, because I do not know the second film, after which so wants to live.

me the most captivating title undisturbed peace Blues Brothers. Especially in scenes where you move them a mysterious woman stubbornly tries to send them to the other world with a mainly explosive methods. By the way can I check the that the "Blues Brothers" grotesque lurks at every turn, and immediately after her brilliant black humor. The Nazis of Illinois, Swojskie Good Guys, Dodge Monaco aka immortal Bluesmobile, suspicious, and refined gourmet restaurants speluny, Chicago, and a great chase. Really great.

Definitely, this movie just really need to see. The joy of life, the essence of zajebistości, the rhythms to which leg przytupuje itself. I regret the end of that I am not a musician from Chicago of those years.

cooler from The Blues Brothers is perhaps the only Kermit.

Is It Normal To Get Swollen Glands Before Period

Vladimir Nabokov - Transparent objects "

Author: Vladimir Nabokov
Title: "Clear Items"
Number of pages: 125

"works of human hands, as well as works of nature, themselves idle, but constantly used by the nonchalant time "

Nabokov likes to mess with it, oh he likes. Nifty reader enters the game that every time it appears clear winner. First discreetly introduces world that he created, from the first sentence making clear that it will not easily and not everything will be clear and obvious. Then he grabs the word, spread it into small pieces, juggling, insidiously transforms, turns, turns it upside down to finally leave the poor reader with an empty board. Before you know it, and lost again;) But I must admit that this is the best loser what can happen. Not just because they lose to the champion of the word, but because you lost it confirms the belief that you have just finished reading a book that was worth every piece precipitated.

"Transparent Objects" is the penultimate novel by Vladimir Nabokov, published in 1972. Presented in its history seems to be relatively simple. At the very beginning we know the main character throughout the show, whose name and last name, of course, can not be accidental. Hugo Persona, so called because the "our persona," comes the fourth time to a mountain resort in Switzerland. It is not difficult to imagine that they had brought him here old memories, the past, he slowly, step by step know. Leitmotif - transparent objects - takes us to the second level of the whole novel.

"When we are focusing on any material object, no matter where located, the very act of attention can lead us to an involuntary collapse in the history of that object. Novices have to learn to glide across the surface of matter, if want the matter lasted exactly at the moment. Oh, the things transparent, through which the past shines! "

Probably each of us even wondered for a moment on some object, on his story, how many people and time was needed to create it, bring to life. Transparent objects are those through which we can see their history. The narrator of the novel, which to the end remains a mystery, looking at the pencil takes the reader on a journey to the past, to the place where it was graphite, the forest of origin fitting a wooden pencil. Subjected to a kind of X-rays is also the life of our hero, Hugh. His first arrival in Switzerland with his father, working in a publishing house, met the love of the train.

narrator, as usually happens in Nabokov's novels, plays with the forms of communication, gives voice to persons from the vicinity of Hugo, interjects his comments until the end of concealing his identity. Lovers of Nabokov's prose will find the book also references to his previous novels. Topic of forbidden love, so well known for Lolita, a bit dyskretniejszej form also appears in "items transparent. " However, it is a side plot, does not refer to Hugo, and Mr. R., with which it operates, Hugh. Many would also have to say Freud himself, because sleep problems that plague Hugh since childhood, also back in his adult life. One way to cope with insomnia during childhood was imagining playing tennis, this vision of Hugh soothed and guarantee him a deep sleep. Unfortunately, problems returned, and with them the strange dreams that have contributed to the great tragedy of our hero. Tragedy, which meant that he arrived in Switzerland for the fourth time, last.

Multicoats Nabokov's novel makes a lot of things escapes during the first reading. Turns out to be very helpful to members of Leszek Engelking, contained on the end. This overloading of symbols, motifs and themes that stirred in this relatively short novel by Nabokov, surpassed all my possible interpretations. Every sentence appears to be important, any change in the narrator, inclusion, each, every note. It is also difficult to find a clear answer to the question what really is this book? A hidden desires, passing time, of life and death, the transparency of our existence? Wonder can be no end, putting in his head a number of possible solutions and settings. But hey, playing with Nabokov never be easy;)

Jesteśmy! Prace Patryka Antoniaka , Magdaleny Szych oraz Katarzyny Przybylskiej już wiszą w naszej miejskiej galerii. Dziś odsłaniamy przed wami kulisy powstawania projektu...
W listopadzie last year they met Magda Nowicka Chomsk and Magda Horanin group & Mad Mad and Michael Straw and Anne Suska of Transit Foundation. While a nice chat about the numerous events organized by the Foundation, an idea the exit of art to the streets and adapt for this purpose outside the abandoned showcases information. Everyone liked the idea and Magda, with support from Anna and Michael, decided to take matters connected with the organization planned the event. In mid December, submitted a proposal for funding under the City of Poznan , whose mission is: " support projects in the field of cultural education, with particular emphasis on programs targeting children and adolescents "

The city liked the idea and received funding for its implementation. Preparations in full swing started in February.

The location of the chosen gallery Transit street St. Martin and Ratajczak street. Were once the main the streets of Poznan, where the concentrated commercial and social life of the city. Today, the streets they die, and the only attractions are numerous banks, credit, and several fast food places to rent. We do not deny that made us great pleasure to walk on, "Martin" in search of the cabinets. We had the opportunity to meet many interesting people who willingly talked about the former Poznan, often drawing on their memories of wartime and postwar years. With barely concealed nostalgia for the glory times St. Martin ...

Ultimately we chose three external ogłoszeniowo showcases and information on the street St. Marcin 25, St. Martin Ratajczak, 35 and 31 street. With the advent of warmer days we started to renovate, but trying to keep their city, a bit mucky, character. We would not cope without help Honorata Ubowskiej and Zbigniew Nowicki .

In February, they reported to us students Technical No. 19 in Poznan who have expressed their willingness to participate in our action. We do not deny that their work has aroused our interest and joy welcomed them among the first participants Transit Gallery. At this point we would like to thank their teachers Charles Obroślakowi for the support they gave both his students and the organizers of the action.

In late February, our group joined Joanna Wojcik, who now served as curator of exhibitions .
March 5, 2011 at the headquarters of the Foundation first meeting with participants of exhibitions in nature art workshops. Lead them Joanna Wojcik, Horanin and Magda Magda Nowicka Chomsk . We spent time talking about how our perception of the city, the issue of public space and transport phenomena in contemporary art. Died was also the first ideas for the work that within the next month were to be carried out by participants of the exhibition. At the end, everyone was tasked with creating a log, in which he had wyrysowywać, print out or tearing both observations on the surrounding world, as well as the process of creating your own art projects. The workshop participants were: Borowczak Martin, Patrick Antoniak , Magdalena Szych, Claudia Stajkowska and Katarzyna Przybylska.

In this composition, we met every weekend throughout March . Always on the premises of the Foundation, always on the 13th hour Our ideas for the work gradually ripened, over time created the beginnings of projects to eventually turn into works of art from the real event. Instead of watching the first movements of spring, we spent long hours in the attic of house painting, drawing, cutting, gluing, and doing projects Graphics on our computers.

last dab of paint took place on 27 March 2011 at 21.20 . Thus, all the work was already done. They were packed by us and ready for exposure.

suspended work on our cabinets March 31 . Of course, not without technical problems, but more on that in a minute. Generally, good use of our innate technical skills and flair, as well as glue (lots of glue) and professional industrial stapler (by some called the "taczerem"). Two works have hung on Thursday afternoon, with the third citation had to wait until Friday morning, when it with drill / driver appeared Tomasz Kowalczyk, who eventually helped us to resolve any technical problems.

reminder that the campaign will run until 30 September 2011. Each month, three young artists will present their work in three exterior showcases information about głoszeniowych (Street St. Martin, ul. Ratajczak), which eventually were transformed into art galleries .
